ValvTechnologies
Nichols-Given Associates, Inc. is a Stocking Distributer/ Representative/ Service Center for Valvtechnologies. Valvtechnologies Valves are Metal Seated, Zero Leakage Ball Valves, ½” to 36” High Pressure to 40,000 psi and High Temperature to 1,800 Degrees F. On-Off and Control Valves for Power Generation, Hydro Carbon, Mining Slurry and other Severe Services. We stock a variety of Valvtechnologies valves for the Power, Mining and Industrial Process Applications. The Valvtechnologies Valves can be Automated with Electric, Pneumatic, Hydraulic or Manual Operators.
Valvtechnologies integral seat design dramatically improves performance over conventional replaceable seats. Crevices surrounding replaceable seats provide sites where wear, corrosion and deposits can attack the metal and loosen or damage the seat. When the seat is an integral part of the valve body, leakage simply has no place to go. In Valvtechnologies valves, the downstream seat is integral to eliminate leakage, while the upstream seat guide is separate to allow for thermal expansion and smooth flow.
The sealing surfaces in Valvtechnologies valves are coated with a super-hard chrome-carbide alloy, and then diamond lapped for a precision fit. A product of the aerospace industry, the coating is applied by blasting with a rocket engine at Mach 3 to form a 10-mil layer many times harder than conventional coatings. This exceptional hardness (70 on the Rockwell C-scale) and temperature ratings to 1800 F make Valvtechnologies valves extremely resistant to attack by catalysts, abrasives and corrosive fluids.
Valvtechnologies valves are manufactured in a wide variety of metals and alloys. Because the sealing surfaces are so resistant to attack, an almost unlimited choice of materials is available. Many of our customers order custom-made valves in exotic metals for compatibility with their systems.
At no extra cost, all Valvtechnologies valves come equipped with live-loaded gland packing to control fugitive emissions. Emissions from standard packed valves make a significant contribution to total emissions for process lines. The costs of inspecting and maintaining these valves for compliance are staggering, both in terms of money and manpower. With live-loaded gland packing, Valvtechnologies valves meet today’s increasing stringent fugitive emissions standards and cut inspection and maintenance costs.
